DDM Deutschland GmbH is dismantling an old power plant in Berlin. As part of the 'circular dismantling program', DDM has been looking for alternative ways to dismantle with a more efficient use of raw materials.
In collaboration with the company 'Klinker Historika GmbH', the clinkers of the dismantled building are reused from 'cradle to cradle'. Klinker Historika GmbH takes over the clinkers dismantled by DDM Deutschland GmbH, removes the mortar by hand and palletizes the finished clinkers for sale as a product.
The clinkers broken during the dismantling process are ground and used for the construction of sports fields. Sustainability is very important to DDM. We look forward to continuing our cooperation with 'Klinker Historika GmbH'.
