Our customer in Mechelen is a manufacturer of washing and dish cleaning products such as 'Dry Tabs'.
Due to a change in their business strategies, the customer decided to discontinue production of these 'Dry Tabs'. As a result, we, DDM, were instructed to remove all equipment, systems and pipes related to this production.
After the start-up in April 2017, the project is gradually coming to an end after a year and a half of work. All machines, materials and equipment were transported to De Meern and/or to other projects before Christmas. For example, our 90-ton crawler crane will now be used for a major demolition work in the port of Antwerp.
During the entire duration of the project, we performed approximately 30,500 hours of work without any accidents, thanks to the skills of the people at DDM and our subcontractors. We can conclude that DDM will be able to conclude the project in a safe and healthy manner after a year and a half. We have all achieved this and we can be very proud of this. In addition, the client indicated once again this week that he was very satisfied with the work delivered by DDM, which is motivation for our future projects.
