Are you a solution-oriented thinker and are you easy to get along with? Do you find it challenging to look for technical solutions that respect all safety and quality standards? If this makes you enthusiastic, then this vacancy is for you!
You will already be presented with a project during the tender phase. Together with the Project Leader, you assess what needs to be done and what the best approach is. You will work this out together with the tender team into a work plan and a quotation. You have architectural insight and are organizationally strong!
You calculate the quantities, organize the equipment to be used for the project, manage the project administration and make commercial proposals together with the project leader. You arrange paperwork, make appointments, consult with the customer and support the business office.
The name says it all: I prepare projects and plan everything. I don't do this alone, of course, but together with the executor and the project leader. We go to a job, take stock of what needs to be done, see what the situation is on site and whether safety is efficiently arranged. Once we have a clear idea of what work needs to be done, I put it on paper for the customer.
And I make calculations. Which type of crane you should use to lift installations and machines with a certain weight. Which method you choose for certain activities. Sometimes this also includes financial calculations: the cost of a project. Then you visit a work together and each make a separate cost calculation. Time, manpower, equipment; you name it. We then arrive at the correct project price for the customer.
My job takes place both in the office and in the field. What I enjoy most is working out a plan on paper. That we arrive at a method that gets the job done as efficiently, safely and quickly as possible. Including the associated paperwork: inspections, appointments, the right machines, the right people. We should never be short of anything and never stand still during the course of a project.
Another topic that I pay a lot of attention to is safety. I keep the topic of safety current with daily toolboxes. Various topics are then discussed together with the employees. Sometimes this concerns wearing Personal Protective Equipment, other times about possible unsafe situations.
What do you need to be able to do this job properly? Especially that you can deal well with people, both internally and externally. You also have to be able to withstand stress and always commit yourself 100 percent.”

“In the two years that I have been working here, I have only been involved in three projects. All three fascinating in their own way. I am currently at a production company in Mechelen. We have to lift an enormous amount of installations and machines from an eleven-storey building. This involves a lot of weight calculations and crane work. Some machines are being sold and must therefore be delivered from the building in perfect condition. A very precise job. And the customer is quite demanding, they constantly want to know all kinds of details about the project. Logically, of course, and since I have everything in order, he is very welcome with his questions. Any time!”
